During his concerts, Nils Frahm, the pianist and composer out of Berlin, often asks the audience if anybody wants to play a duet with him. It takes little to no time for someone to be found. In general, these audience members are already self-proclaimed pianists. Tom Adams being one, played in 2014 with Nils Frahm in Berlin. Frahm’s manager liked the duet so much that Tom Adams himself was offered a record deal. Recorded in a single afternoon, Adam’s debut album “Silence” is a sensitive balance. It is a constant rush, often overwhelming, combined with the siren-like voice of Adams and golden piano notes joining together in the search for beauty.
